A transient sculpture – a framing of a scene captured within the frame of another, the sensor of a digital camera, before being dismantled. Waveframe was made in memory of a relative who has recently passed, in recognition of the myriad ways in which we attempt to enclose and capture all that which is passing, and the everything and nothing in-between. Nevertheless, as the flowing waves in-and-around testify, the becoming of the world shall always stand in excess of our efforts, but therein lies the richness of the potential dialogues between art and life, for it can never be exhausted.
